17 Central Street Police Station Flag

Photos 1 thru 3 were taken Sunday 2/29/04 at the abandoned station at 17 Central Street.

On 3/1/2004, at about 1:15PM, workers began to removed the pole from the roof. Al Riley of North Shore Dredging donated the use of his crew and crane while a Public Works crew waited with a truck to transport the pole. In attendance were Chief Robert M. St. Pierre, Mayor Stanley Usovicz, and Lt. Mary Butler were in attendance. The pole was secured on the back of a D.P.W. truck and transported to the Impound Lot at the (new) police station with hopes of being restored and re-dedicated.
