Street Police Station Flag
Photos 1 thru 3 were taken Sunday 2/29/04 at
the abandoned station at 17 Central Street.
On 3/1/2004, at about 1:15PM, workers began to
removed the pole from the roof. Al Riley of North Shore Dredging donated the use
of his crew and crane while a Public Works crew waited with a truck to transport
the pole. In attendance were Chief Robert M. St. Pierre, Mayor Stanley Usovicz,
and Lt. Mary Butler were in attendance. The pole was secured on the back of a
D.P.W. truck and transported to the Impound Lot at the (new) police station with
hopes of being restored and re-dedicated.
