The combined unions of the Salem Police Patrolman's Association and the Salem Police Superior Officers' Association design and sell merchandise with the world famous trademark Salem Police Department uniform patch. The profit from the sales goes towards numerous local charities and sponsorships. By agreement with the Chief of Police, the funds can only be used for these purposes. In an effort to keep expenses down, the "Cop Shop" does not advertise or use any commercial distribution. Items purchased are processed and packaged for delivery by volunteering officers. If you buy Salem Police merchandise from another source they are unauthorized and counterfeit "bootlegs" and the profits are not distributed to worthy causes.
